  • Jennifer Hendricks says

I am thankful for the good health of my family and friends; I’m thankful that my 16 year old dog is here to celebrate another Thanksgiving with us and I’m thankful that my husband likes to vacuum.

  • I am thankful for the health of my family. We’ve had a horrible year with two of our kids medically…one diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes and the other with need for a highly specialized knee surgery that involves a very long recovery.

And yet, on this day, despite the fact that we aren’t in the clear yet, I am grateful that they both have a great future. My daughter’s knee, though it will never be “normal”,will heal enough for her to be mobile. My son’s diabetes, though a lifetime of insulin is required, is manageable.

The reality is, it could be worse. I frequently reflect on how blessed we are as there are so many people with children who suffer much more challenging maladies than mine. My heart goes out to them. I can’t think of them and NOT be thankful for all that we have.

  • Rick Pierce says
